What a beautiful photo. What grief for the young mother - unimaginable. I am glad the Lord gave her a glimpse into heavenly realms to give her the courage and strength to continue on. Beautifully written poem. Excellent writing, and very moving.

Thank you for your wonderful review. "Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning." It was a time of trial that few experience but she came through it, gaining a depth of maturity that was remarkable. Her babe is not forgotten, but the pain has passed and her faith is deeper.

That is good, that she could grow through this trial and grief. She may in turn be able to comfort others going through a terrible trial with the same comfort she has received, as in 2 Cor 1:4.

Thank you so much for your insightful review and understanding of what this special girl went through. From a difficult youth, she has become a woman who is helping others, based on the faith she gained from the experience.

I don't have 6 stars left.
I read your poem, more slowly, as I started to understand. I love your way of writing and I hope this comforted you to express, as if anything truly could comfort. You did not deserve such a heart wrenching experience. I'd like to think that you gave birth to who is now your guardian Angel. Love never dies. For however long you loved, that love us still between and child, and Dad and child, I believe. May your baby rest in God's Love, eternally.

This happened to a very close, young friend and we went through the roller coaster ride of emotions. I believe that, when she meets Jesus, He will be holding her little girl in His arms and she'll be full of life and love.

This bundle of love has brought joy into your life in spite of unspeakable loss. To be touched in a way that brings you into the gentle Peace of our Saviour is the gift. Your expression of this journey in faith and trust is truly heartwarming and inspiring. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I can only imagine the joy our dear friend will experience when meeting Jesus, with her little daughter in His arms. She had been through so much in her life, but this was her greatest test. I'm sure He will say to her, "Well done!"

It is better to believe in God and yourself, then paying to several people who act like brick walls. I have enjoyed reading your poetry. Excellent work! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, again, Raul, for reviewing my poem. I appreciate it and the rating you gave it.

I have often felt that when a child dies at birth they will wait to be reunited with their loved ones in death of the later. It will be as if no time has passed. On earth we feel the passage of time . I don't think it's like that in heaven. I think it stands still. We are chained by time here. This was a beautiful but sad poem. Thank you for posting. And I apologize for going off on my own theory. LOL. Gretchen

Dear Gretchen, Thank you so much for your review and for sharing your thoughts. I, too, don't think time, which, as you say, chains us here, has any hold on those in Heaven, where 'time shall be no more'. I felt that, when our friend meets Jesus, He'll be standing there with her little daughter in His arms and the joy they'll share, none can take from them and no time will steal it.

Dear Ulla, This happened to a very precious girl, who had been through many difficult experiences prior to meeting me and my friends. She had a wonderful change in her life--but that didn't mean that she didn't have to face many more challenges. This was one of the most difficult, where her faith was tested to the limit--but she came through as gold! We all loved that beautiful babe but know we'll all meet again in a much better world in the future.

I cannot imagine how your dear friend moved through this grief. Even as an RN the loss of an infant seemed against all laws of nature and life and faith!
I'm so sorry for your friend's loss...and yes, my faith tells me they will unite again in God's time!

Thank you, Kerenina, for your touching review. This dear, young friend had already been through so much in her life. This was yet one more test and she held on to the Lord through the dark times--but it was her hardest test to that point.
-
Blessings to her...and to her little angel called home too soon!

Your poem made a great statement. Why do little babies die,
and what happens to those left behind. Your words were well-
thought out and had smooth flow. Your rhymes worked well,
too. Your poem was poignant and sad for any who've had this
tragedy. However, they do need to cling to their faith.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thank you, Jan, for your beautiful review. Clinging to her faith was, at the time it happened, the last thing on her mind but became the answer to overcoming her heartache and sadness. The promise that she will meet her little daughter again carried her through.

Is this poem based on real life? It's so sad but I can see you draw strength from your faith.
the structure makes sense, it draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

Yes, it is based on the real life experience of a dear young friend who lost her month-old baby in a cot death. Through it all, she learned to trust in Jesus and know that she will see her little daughter again. It's that which carried her through.
