Wendy, very good poem. Love the topic and all the old bitty lines. Clever to put thoughts in the short lines... will have to remember that!

Thanks so much for the fun stars Phyllis. I see lots of possibilities with the shorties and can't wait to read what everyone comes up with.

Glad I still have a sux for you!
I was going funny with my entry too but I doubt I can top this - well we'll just see!
That fourth line just cries out for special treatment as you have done here revealing the innermost thoughts.
Just subtle enough too for me to have to go back and check,;Did she really mean that?'
Good luck - could be a tough contest looking at the entrants.

Thank you so much for the Green one! I am having fun trying out all sorts of possibilities with the short line. I can't wait to read what jumps out of your oh so fertile mind. Lots of heavy hitters in this here contest. Could be a great battle.

This is very well done :) I can picture the busybody sitting there doing her thing. Your descriptions are great and I love your four syllable lines that sum things up. You have lovely meter too. Best wishes to you in this contest!

Thank you Joy for taking the time to read and review my work. I am having fun trying to figure out how to best use this new form. I appreciate your comments on the shortened lines. I like that it adds punch to a piece and seems to be particularly effective in storytelling.

Hey there DW. Thanks so much for the read and review. I am having fun with this new form of mine and I think it lends itself best to storytelling mode. I will know better when I have read all the entries to my contest. Don't see your name there yet????? Thanks for the sixth too. It means a lot coming from you.
