keimosobie,

I think you did a very great job of capturing the
event and the feelings one might have in that situation.
Your rhymes are good and so is your presentation.

I like how you personalized it and wrote it in the
first person.

Billy, this is an excellent tribute to the miners trapped in Chile, as well as a great entry for the Quatrain Poetry contest. Without a doubt, it should be a strong contender in the contest. Strong rhyme scheme allow it to flow and read smoothly. Great title and artwork to match this piece. Good work - and best wishes in the contest, my friend.

This is a beautifully expressed picture of the plight of the trapped miners, and I am so thankful that the story has come to have a happy ending. Thanks for personally projecting yourself into their situation. Best wishes, Jeanie Mercer

I like the way you have told this story from the point of view of one of the miners, it helps the readers to connect.
Good form, aabb rhyming and flow throughout.
My fave lines are:
"they work frantically up above
way down here we feel the love" and
"in this hole where I am resident
I got to speak to the president"
Your last two lines are very poignant i feel.
Great write, good luck - Cally :)

Hi keimosobie,

As you know the miners are out of the ground and with their families. I can't imagine how they managed to do so well underground. The human spirit and the human mind can do most anything even the impossible. You wrote this poem very well. It contains the emotion of those miners. Your line "pleased don't tell them that I cried" is heart breaking. Well done....chey

This was so well written about the miners in Chile. I could feel one of the miner's thinking about his family and being worried. The frustration and fear. I liked how this flowed and you showed how they felt with your words. I am glad they were finally rescued, safe and reunited with their families. Your picture really was right on. Great writing and fitting tribute to the miners.

Hello keimosobie,

I would imagine most, if not all, of the trapped miners came to some reconciliation with their God. I'm amazed it all worked out as well as it did. I cannot imagine being trapped underground for such a long time. Praise God, and his agents who freed the men. Nice job on this poem. Ray
