Heart-warming little story about rescuing an abused animal. It's classified as General Fiction, but it certainly reads like non-fiction. Is this a true story? If not, it had me fooled. I couldn't find anything to pick on. Good job. good luck in the contest.

Thesis, this is a lovely little story. I'm so glad you said in your author notes that the dog would be saved. I'm such a bleedingheart that I can't read dog stories unless I know how they're going to turn out. I love it. Great read. pat

It is so sad to see an animal abused. I admire you for taking steps to end that abuse by adopting the dog. I have a friend who has six dogs she has rescued from abusive situations. It is so sad when we have to say Goodbye to pet. It is like losing a member of the family. I wish their life spans were longer. Thanks for sharing.
