Never mind your political stance - anyone who doesn't share it must be mentally deranged or blind anyway! Right, down to your poetic ability: Brilliant. In fact, faultless, as is usual from your pen. There is never anything to bitch about in your stuff. I'm running out of positive things to say here.
Warmest wishes

I like you style and respect you political stance, but...I'm going to be the devil's advocate for a minute. Bush's stimulus had no direction to it, no set course for creating jobs and rebuilding the economy, just cash handouts. Obama on the other hand is using the money to create jobs that will bring us closer to resolving debts and hopefully lead us to energy self sufficiency and clean the environment at the same time. If it all works then we will be much better off than where we started.

Hullo Sixteezkid ....
I found this very interesting - and that goes for your Notes as well. Having followed the election campaign with interest for so many months and seen - on T.V. of course - the general hysteria with which the election results were welcomed ... I have, since then, being watching from the side-lines and wondering when the American people are going to wake up to the enormous reality of what is happening in their country.
From a writing point of view, there is nothing to suggest changing.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
With love from ....... Nanette Mary.

Rhyme...great! Rhythm....great! Message...loud and clear! Flow...perfect! I try not to let my bias/opinion be a judge which is usually easy because your poems are so well-written but... HEAR! HEAR! I love this poem!

This is one of your best poems, Sixteezkid. You used perfect meter and rhymes, while getting your message across. I must say that I don't totally agree with that message (I think we should give the stimulus plan a chance to work), but you have the right to your point of view, which you presented very well, with a touch of humor.

Wow... you hit the nail on the head with this one, Sixteezkiddo. Things are unfortunately in a huge mess with the distinct feeling the ship's helm has been left unmanned. Or as someone said, someone's at the wheel, but they ain't drivin'.
God help us and our children who will be saddled with paying for the majority of this debt. Generational theft is wrong.
Good writing, my friend.

The poem is great, but . . . Actually I agree with your politics, too. I think people should work for their money, and risky investment should keep their risks. I think the CEO of these companies should pay for their bad decision - not us. Poem has a wonderful flow and a nice rhyming scheme. Great picture.

Strange, wasn't it Obama who promised us no more BIG GOVERNMENT spending (or am I deaf, dumb, and very stupid?). But hey, it's not his fault, it's all Gerogie's fault. All the evil belongs to the last President and to nobody else. Oh well, campaign promises didn't last long this go around. A great write my friend.

Yes, it is all more than disappointing. Our leaders don't realize how hard it is to take betrayal (to us as individuals and our concern for our country). Thanks very much for your review. Sue
