It's nice to read something everybody can relate to. You've done a great service by raising awareness of the seasons. People are too caught up with the calandar but you have brought the true new year to their attention. The poem was beautiful you picked exquisite points to illistrate.

This is a wonderful poem. I like the flow and the rhyming scheme. It is a very nice sonnet. I like the picture choice.

Paradox, I am SO pleased that you really enjoyed this poem! I got so carried away with thinking of spring and realized the vernal equinox was coming up, so wrote about it. HA! How desperate is that to get out of the cold?!! But, I'm also an astronomy enthusiast, and just had to have fun with it. Your 'sixer' is a beautiful sight, as it is always awesome for one's work to be so appreciated. And I thank you for that. With warmest regards, Sue

I am basking in a way too hot sun for March even in Florida. Gonna be a hot one. But I love to sit on the porch and watch the tide go in and out of our little lake connected to the river. Nice write. Put a smile on my face. joan marie

This is a nic sonnet, Sixteezkid. That's my favorite form of poetry, so I especially enjoyed this poem. My only suggestion is that you might change the word "all" in the second line of the third stanza to "what," to make a good meter there. This is just a suggestion. I really like your sonnet.

What a beautiful person. I enjoyed this lesson and the nicely light hearted and spirited poem which is well written and has a splash of humor for me. As a person, it is best remembered the seasons as we can take the understanding of its cycles and apply it to our lives. Separate from the hemishperes.
