First of all, this poem follows the rules of its format meticulously.
Second, the meter is perfectly executed throughout.
Most important, though, is that the message of the poem is crystal clear (and I agree with it).

Contests are difficult primarily because I think it brings out the best in everyone resulting in fierce competition. This is lovely. I liked it very much. Good luck with contest!

Very well done is your poem
of musical lines from the music
in your soul. My grandson in
Germany loves the music of mozart.

An excellent poem but I have a confession to make. I love Bach and I love Beethoven but I just plain don't GET Mozart. But the review is about the poem, it flows as well as a triolet can and it brims over with your love of music. Well done.

His variety is so vast from full scale operas to piano concertos to symphonies...and all so different. My favorite is his Symphony No. 25 in G Minor (K-183). It's SO Mozart! :-)) My love for Beethoven is only one percent smaller than for Mozart - ha! Beethoven's 6th is divine! Thanks so much for your great review. Sue

I've never written a triolet, but you've made it look easy, which I'm sure it's not. Nicely done and great subject matter. Karen

There's not much to say about these short poetic forms other than if it is technically correct. This is. The topic and content are very well crafted within the limits of the Troilet. I like the attached illustration of the sheet music...looks like it was written in Mozart's own hand! Good work.

Gregory, it is his own hand! Ha! I got this image from google showing one of his own hand-written pieces. Thanks very much for your kind review. Sue

Sue, I have to admit I generally dislike this form; I get bored easily, and repetition has to be surrounded by superb quality for me to bite...this is one of the rare triolets that I LIKE. I feel your respect and admiration, and I have lost myself as much in a piece of Bach as I have in any piece of poetry, dance music, guitar solo, etc. You said it beautifully. Way to go, maestro! :)

I was considering attempting this type of poem. I really like what you have written here. Everything fits together so well. You write magnificently.

Hey, 60's Kid, that was great. I wasn't expecting much from this contest, but your entry was excellent. I suppose you being ranked #2 should have been the "heads up" letting me know to expect something good. Good luck! Coop.
