Hullo Sixteezkid ....
You have made a very profound statement in this short work of yours and, with your Notes about the picture you have chosen, all round you have provided us with an interesting piece of writing.
Thank you for sharing this with us. Of course, there is nothing to suggest changing.
With love from ... Nanette Mary.

Why not six stars? I was never into poetry, but get so much of it on this site, I'm reading it all the time. This entry makes me smile, makes me think and makes me appreciate poetry a little more. Thanks. JB

Sue, you have done it again! How difficult it is to define anything created by people but which actually serves to prove our existence and in turn defines us. (I think you have a philosophical mind like mine.)

Thanks. It's hard to find people I can relate to!

This poem truly describes how I feel about art. I can enjoy the beautiful scenes of nature, but some of the other stuff I just don't get. I guess that my mind just doesn't work that way. Great poem.

I think that our yearning for immortality evolves in art. It is, as you say, something that defines our very being, but is illusive when we try to define the mysterious gift that is art. Excellently thought-provoking. Blessings, Linda

Your Tetractys is very thought-provoking. I am not sure yet whether I agree with your statement, but it is worth pondering. It is good to have something that requires deep thought in the morning; it sort of gets the engine going and warmed up (it is 5 degrees Fahrenheit outside my window as I type this). Thank you. And good luck.

Wow, very well put. Defining the arts would be like trying to scoop out the ocean with a spoon - and, even if you could, what would you do with it? Very well said in so few words. All the best in the contest,
Heather

I am voting on the Tetractys Contest and reading all the poems. There are quite a few so, I won't be doing a detailed review, but I think your poem truly does indicate the reviewer's perspective.

excellent choice of artwork on this one; I love your work and the author notes too for the wise and rich history.
Philosophy is the genre here; well done; strong contest entry; best wishes in the voting booth!
