It's the afterwards that is all too discerning if not the answer you're both looking for at the time. Well done and true in the throes of passion.

I love the words you have chosen for this short piece. They really deliver. It makes me want to grab the wife for a little afternoon delight.

Hi Sue,

This is a nicely crafted and well structured poem in this style. You do a good job of painting a strong word picture of making love. Nicely done Scott

I think not knowing the difference between lust and love in the moment of truth is exactly why I am where I am in life and it is all clear to me that instant gratification is probably a poor substitute until the next time.

This is exactly true. At that moment when passion seizes the whole being, rational thinking is not usually possible. You captured the feeling very well. kudos

I like this one. You've managed to capture that moment when all reason deserts people. I particularly like the last line, with its alliteration. Good luck with the contest. :)

Very lovely, and very true. Succintly expressed. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between love and lust, and in the beginning, at least, it doesn't seem to matter.

Warm regards,
Julianna

Been there. Done that! LOL I liked this one very very much! The theme was good. Well chosen words and colorful arrangement and very well decorated thoughts.

There were no errors to be found.

Your feelings are very understandable and expressed through the poem.

Yeah, when you're there, you don't analyse the reasons. Lust is as good as love, just then. In French we say: Le coeur a ses raisons, que la raison ne connait pas." It means, "The heart has its reasons, and it has nothing to do with rationality."
What can I say? I love a love poem that starts off with "Lust". Loved it.
