I like the way this poem rolls along. The sonnet style has become one of my favorites. Enjoyable message and a pleasure to have read.

Dreams and the power of achieving them, I think you did a great job of the iambic pentameter[it read very smooth] I think a lot will relate to your words friend, the dreams that got away[did we run out of time or did we aim to high] I makes one ponder, I achieved a lot of mine but not all, not by a long shot, do I still have time? I hope so. Nice touch with the artwork!

hi, Sue
Excellent meter in sonnet format without the rhyme scheme restrictions. Wonderful dreams of successful adventures.
No way am I tryin Everest. Blimey, the Eiger an the Mattehorn' were my limit. It was great fun hand-gliding down, too (without the advantage of a sail). Original, entertaining and profound. Love, ray xx

Course I was lyin - I free-fell from the top of both peaks, without the aid of a parachute, and landed in a bucket of water ta stop my fall. ;-) xx

I love the message of this poem. It shows what we can do when we really put our mind to it. I know that we can do whatever we desire. Great poem.

Hey Sue,

Nice one! I sure as the devil wouldn't be climbing Mt. Everest. Not in this lifetime, anyway! But you've given me an idea for a poem. Hummm... I'll have to see.

Anyway, great poem & nicely written. Thanks for sharing it with us!

smiles,

deb

Not in my lifetime either! HA!! If I had a second go at life, I'd be an adventurer, but now I just "wish". Thanks so much for your great review. Always appreciated, Sue :-))

Sue,

this was an inspirational writing, my friend, because in dreams, we can do anything at all. I've dreamed of so many things, as have we all, and have been both happy and frightened upon waking up to remember what I just dreamed. Imagine the same for you. great idea for your poem.

"Freedom Realized" is a beautifully written poem filled with hope and endless bravery. Perfectly written with a nice easy to read flow and rhythm. So this is an iambic pentameter. Well done
