a simple verse maybe but one that says so much, i liked the white hot passion and the positive message that comes across from this very well written poem

Hullo Sixteezkid ...
In your brief note at the end, you describe this as just a simple verse. Yes - that it is - but it also gives your readers something to think about under the umbrella of your well-chosen title - "Faith in Oneself."
There is nothing that I would suggest changing and I thank you for sharing these thoughts with us.
With love from ..... Nanette Mary.

Your poem was very short and very simple yet I liked the message that it had. The photo was very fitting and it flowed nicely. You have written some nice work.

I love the way you think. Naysayers are emotional vampires. It takes vigilance to stay above the fray. You write great poetry. Love the way you ended the first stanza with"yes" and the second with"no". Good work.

"Emotional Vampires"...wow....what a great way to express that. And "vigilance to stay above the fray"! Thank you so much for these great comments and your review. With warm regards, Sue

Very nice piece. It was very discriptive, yet very concise. I like the contrast in your two stanzas and the line about denying oxygen to naysayers. Well done.

All right!! Just say NO to the naysayers who try to suck out all your creative oxygen. Follow your dreams and do your thing with a big YES. This is an excellent message and is well told in this excellent poem. A simple verse, indeed. mslyla

Excellent poem. This is quite inspirational. I think we all need a "white hot flame" to fuel our self-confidence at times. Great job!

Michelangelo said: "Faith in oneself... is the best and safest course. "
There is a pressing need for your antidote to negative thoughts from others. You express this loud and clear - to stand firm and deny the naysayers who conflict with your striving for something to achieve. These people are eager to give negative advice and masquerade under the name of 'friend.' It is they who have no convictions, no ambitions. They criticize and doubt. It is they who have no self-esteem, no self-confidence. Failure is praised. They put their stamp of disapproval on everything in life. But it is they who are the failures.
It has been said, by those who say "NO" that the lack of doubts in a person is a pathological condition, like that of the psychopath who believes fully whatever he wishes! cocksureness usually accompanies ignorance. On the other hand, very often these people who have a near complete lack of faith in oneself and in the world are truly self-destructive. Apart from faith in God, faith in oneself is also a natural condition of the human being, whatever specific beliefs accompany it.
We'll take YOUR advice: Don't let the naysayers breathe! 'Keep the Faith!'
Nice work.

Gregory, all your words are SO true. It is pathological sometimes for some to NOT want you to pursue a dream (and it doesn't even have to have a monetary value attached to it). Some just want YOU to keep the status quo as they do. Safer for them, I guess. But, negativity can breed negativity, so best to always listen to one's own gut instinct and keep the fire fanned. And have patience. Thanks for giving Michaelangelos's quote. Had not seen that before. How true..how true. Thank you for your wonderful review and taking the time to comment so well. With warmest regards, Sue

Wow, do I wish I had six stars for this one. So simple, yet so powerful! Great verse with great artwork to drive the point home. Well done, my friend. Should be for a contest! I'd vote for it. Take care.
