Great structure with a "true" message. You have achieved an excellent balance between strong structure and truthful content. You are a talented and gifted writer.

I would hate to live in a world without the beauty of music. It is truly one of man's gifts to the earth

Hi Sue...I agree I can't imagine life without music. When I am home I always have music playing. I love to play the piano, as well and like the classics the best. This is a great rictameter. You followed all the rules and chose a subject close to my heart. Good luck in the contest....blessings....chey

I absolutely loved this cleverly constructed Rictameter, what an interesting form, I believe, I only wrote one of those. I am in accord with you on the role of music in our lives. I started piano lessons at the age of 8, and now it is my great joy. I recently acquired a Baldwin piano, what a difference between this one and any piano I ever had! I have one in my house on the East Coast, but there is no comparison. A beautiful entry, looks like a winner to me!

Favorite line:

It crosses cultural landscapes

I really like this rictameter and have so much for those who can make music. 'harmony amongst constant chaos' Music in the milking barn calms nervous cows.

Somuch truth in this enjoyable writing.

What a pretty thing it is on the page. Like a circle, formed with words. And of course, music, one of our essential needs. You have said it well. "And we long for music."

I love music. I believe it can act as a cure to many things.
It depends on how it is used though but from how this read music gives one a positive feeling.
Much love,
Justmade.

There are so much truth in your words. Music feeds the soul and frees the mind, at least thats what I find in my weekly linedancing.( don't laugh.-- well! maybe just a little.)

I loved this poem . good luck. Miska

A wonderful poem! Good construction! I admire the way you were able to fit the words in the scheme. The Zeppelin album cover caught my eye! I am proud to say I bought that album before Zepp II came out, before most people even knew who Led Zeppelin were.

This is a great entry for the contest. I like 'It crosses cultural landscapes.' It is a great experience to sing in a group with others of a different language, using the same song and music, just each singing the words in their native tongue. I can't speak another language, but in that experience, we could smile at each other as we sang the words because we knew just what the other was expressing.

I enjoyed your poem. Best wishes in the contest.

Sixteezkid, we must be closer in age than I thought if
you know Led Zeppelin. Are you kidding me? They truly
rocked when I was in college. I like this rictameter a
great deal. I'd give up tv over music any day. Great
job.

Zeppeling? The gods of rock!!! Pink Floyd! I could go on forever! Ha! Born in 1955. Lucky us we had the 60's an 70's. That's why I named myself sixteezkid. Great years to be a teen and have the music we had. Thanks for the great review! See ya later. Always appreciated, Sue
