I was laughing out loud at the ending, and I especially liked the line "You're in for glory-bound!" -- great one. It's nice to see you can do traditional verse and then be this fun and free as well. :)

I don't believe you wrote this. This happened to me. I answered the phone and heard hi in a voice I recognized we talked in a rather risque manner for a time and said he'd be over. After waiting an hour and no boyfriend I called. He said I didn't call you I just got home from playing basketball!!! True story I swear. Great read. I hadn't thought about that in years. joan marie

A good half hour. LOL I was freaking out. I told my roommate. My boyfriend never really found out what was said but it was pretty raunchy. We had dated for a while so we were pretty comfortable with what we said to each other. Bothered me for days. I said his name the guy said yes and we went to town. Never again did I answer the phone and not have someone identifiy themselves. jm

OMG! I don't blame you for not being able to get over it for a few days. It would feel very weird. Isn't it strange that someone can actually relate to this poem?? Weird!
