You succeeded in forcing me to take a nap!LOL This was so wonderfully relaxing and the picture added so much. I think we all need to take more "down" time while we are moving through this crazy thing we call life. Nicely done and fun to read.
Kindly,
Judy

Hi Sue...when I was raising three children and a husband I could easily have written this poem! I can't even imagine raising six....what a feat! I am sure every mother can relate to this poem. It has an easy rhyme which makes it a pleasure to read....well done....blessings....chey

what a beautifully written poem, and the art or photo is perfect, I loved the structure, found no error, and I seem to never find them in your works or writings. You are a true poet.

This is my kind of poem - one
I can really relate to - it has
a smooth flow to the words and
both rhythm and rhyme - and is
a real pleasure to review.
Regards,
Margaret.

Sue,
well written poem, my friend. I enjoyed it and for the most part, enjoyed it without understanding it. That make sense? I must say, I really didn't get the lines:
'An hour would be enough for me
To climb a mountain, feeling free
While sitting in my chair' (This is an impossible thing to do, isn't it? Unless the chair is an electric wheelchair. What is this about? Or, are you in your chair, reading about doing these things? I can be so stupid when it comes to poetry)

Reggie, no..you ninny. My chair has twin jet engines which can blast me up to the mountain in no time! And then, I get into my time machine and BAM! I'm in Egypt! Geez....you're SO behind the times with technology. Now, shoo!! Take my pennies and go kill another poor, innocent woman! :-)) Sue

Sue,
I could use some of that peace and quiet. I like all the places you can go in your minds eye. You said this well in your poem. Really good job!

Rachon

Rachon, grab it when you can! Get in your chair and "go somewhere". Thanks so much for your great review and comments. So glad you enjoyed it! With warm regards, Sue

the meter works perfectly - this reads smooth as silk and the interesting rhyme scheme is pure and also enhances the poem
as for your lovely thought at the end, that a gem is best when rare, yay for that. Now, it's time to treat yourself to one of those gems - leave the cell phone behind, drive to a park, sit yourself someplace pretty, and make it happen!! :-)

Ha! I love those times when I just unplug the phone, turn off every noisy contraption and "go somewhere" in my mind. Although, rare they are. Thanks for all your compliments on this work. And for your very kind review. Always appreciated, Brooke. With regards, Sue

A very nice piece, I liked the way it flowed. We could all use a little extra me time. There are times when we are pulled in every direction. No revision needed.

Hi Sue,
This is a lovely poem that is very well crafted in meter and rhyme, as well as being very nicely presented. Your words have a calming message and paint a beautiful picture of those 'Rare Gems' of peaceful time.
