This was lilke being a fly on the wall! I got to listen in on a very beautiful conversation of two people who are falling (or have fallen) in love. The moment was so fragile as each lover made their feelings known. I have always thought of this time in a relationship to be the most beautiful and tender. It is when a person is most vulnerable to hurt - for their feelings for each other may not be equal. It is a wonderful moment, when the words are spoken, and true devotion can begin.

You are right - pick up lines used to be used mainly in bars and now are used online more and more and more - smooth talking has become smooth writing. These lines seem more sincere than smooth talking, but they do tell a love story.

My brother met his wife on l;line first and they developed a friendship before meeting in person. This internet dating is changing the nature of first meetings incredibly. Your story is well written.
