I really enjoyed your poem. Embers flying through towns adds a sense of urgency. While the owl's wisdom and direction bring calm. As though a wise animal knows it's time to fly away. It's a powerful poem!

my daughter has a friend who lives in hollywood (she can see "the sign" from her apartment)
she's a little freaked out thinking she should just leave for awhile
i told my daughter she could stay with us if needed and to pack a go back and just wait...
anyway, yea, LA and surrounding areas are in my thoughts right now...
a great renga for it - love the owl!

Birds and animals, acting intuitively will hopefully escape, if they are quick enough, although doubtless there will be huge losses. Praying for you to have great wisdom as to evacuation. This is a terrible reminder of our horrific fires in 2019-2020 when many whole towns were lost, people died and many millions of animals and birds were lost.

I am sure with the raging fires that are going on in Southern California that many of the birds, the owls, the eagle and other soaring birds will be able to fly out of their area and fly to a safer spot. Patricia.
