I have had the pleasure of seeing red butterflies when I was a child. They were never really big, but their deep red color made up fot their small size. Nkcf addition.

Thank you so much for your kind review. Where did you grow up?

You're welcome. I grew up in Trinidad. As a child there were always hundreds, sometimes thousands of butterflies a certain time of the year. They ranged in every color and size imaginable. In my early twenties, they started to disappear, at least from my backyard. But along with hummingbirds, they are my favorite creature to watch.

Butterflies have such gorgeous coloured wings and when they take flight they dot the air with fluttering delight. I enjoyed your uplifting words Patricia, love Dolly x x x

Patricia,

What a lovely poem. The poem flows nice and speaks loudly of the beautiful butterfly. I have seen many different colored butterflies, but this is the first I have ever seen red ones.

Do you know where they are a native of?

Great job my friend

Cecilia

Thank you so much for your nice review. I just got a review from someone who lives as a child someplace in the United States and I ask him where he lived because he said he has seen the red butterfly so I'll see if I can find out from him. I found out from another rider that he grew up in the island nation of Trinidad and they had the bright red butterflies there he said they were very small, but they were very lovely.

You're welcome. I think seeing one them would be beautiful. When we lived in Tennessee there used to be a bunch of beautiful blue ones.

What a dramatic picture, Patricia! Your butterfly is flaunting its beauty for all to see, bravely and majestically. Your 5-7-5 verse captures the moment in vivid detail. Well done! Debbie

I really enjoyed the beauty of your poem! Your use of "lovely, butterfly red creature" paints a clear picture in my mind. The way you describe the butterfly flying boldly with beautiful wings adds so much. It's such a peaceful moment captured in just a few lines. I can really feel the spirit of the butterfly. Keep up the great work!
