This is one of those classical pastoral romantic celebrations of nature and the seasons. Very colorful language, the red robins, the painted leaves, and the white snow that is the harbinger of winter. It's like a recitation of an late autumn day. estory

As autumn approaches, winter will not be far behind. It's inspiring to picture the return of spring, as highlighted in this poem. It makes the icy, cold weather more bearable!

Oh yeah. Bang. Bang. Bang. Do that thing, doing it with such grace and ease, feeling this soft conveyance: expounding views captivating to my interests. Well done. I have no needed suggestions for any improvement. Fine as is: in my viewpoint.

I love your poem about the changes through the seasons.... from winter to spring, both are beautiful in their own way.

"wintery cold, starts to digest the leaves as they molt" lovely imagery. ...

"yellow, rust and deep red,
the forests become a colorful bed."

When I was little I loved jumping in puddles (*=*)
when the ice form a cracked.

Well done

we only had rain puddles where I grew up. They weren't so cold when I jumped into them. I'm not sure what I would've done with an ice puddle But thank you for your wonderful comments.

Very good sensory descriptions that show and does not tell. This poem has a nice pace and flow.
I can't wait to see the first robin of spring in my back yard when the snow melts.
Thanks for sharing.

I grew up in the Midwest, Illinois, and towards the end of winter I always started searching for the first robin. I'd get excited when is saw. Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem with us.

What a very nice poem. I like how you went through all the seasons. The rhyming was very good. I enjoyed reading it. We had 3 robins make nests in some of our trees. Great job.

Thank you for your wonderful words and I think everybody like us loves seeing the robins come back because then we know it surely spring. The groundhogs are not as wonderful as the robins are.

Hi Pam, I absolutely adore the robin. Always have. It's such a lovely little bird with its read chest. In the part of Spain where I live, close to the Mediterranean coast, we only see them at winter time when they arrive for survival. I enjoyed reading your poem. Ulla xcx
