Hi Debi,
Yes, I miss Jannypan, too. It's been a year already. I'm glad you wrote this poem for her, and I hope her dear Abby is okay. I'm one of those people who firmly believe our pets go to Heaven.
Your quatern is nicely penned. The repeating line is quite effective.
"A year ago Jan passed away"
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Hi Kimbob, I appreciate the very kind comments about our Jan's poem. Her and I spent lots of time on the phone together so I even have voicemails that I haven't listened to or thrown away yet. I just don't have the heart. Thanks again for all the kind words. Love, Debi

This is an excellent memorial poem for a significant friend to all who live on FanStory. I like how you shared attributes and her contribution through back channels. Thank you for even mentioning her cat. Another excellent poem.

It's hard to believe it's been a year! Jan is the one who convinced me that I could write acrostics. She wrote many great pieces for contests, as well. Thank you for sharing this tribute to Jan. As you say, I hope Abby is okay.

I was still relatively new to FanStory when i began to read all those tributes to her memory. Time has moved so quickly, I can't believe this is now one year. I'm thankful her memory will not be forgotten.

I know that feeling. My niece saved some voice messages from my wife.

I miss her every day. She was an amazing lady, she helped me no end with edits, (private PMs) She was just so sweet. Thank you for writing one of your lovely poems to remind everyone what we have lost. Jan was a special lady. I do hope Abby has been given a loving home. Well done, my friend. I really appreciate you writing this. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

What a lovely tribute to your late friend
I remember here having been here under a different pen name. She was truly an asset to this site.
Well done!

Hi Katie. Thanks so much for all the kind words for our Jan's memory. We miss her so much, even a year later.

Did you say you remember her having a different pen name than JannyPan?
As far as I knew that is the only one I remember. Thanks in advance for letting me know.
Thanks again, my friend. Love, Debi

Oops. I was the one with a different pen name. I was KATIEMAEDEAD

LOL, haha, could have been taken either way. Thank for clearing that up. I like your new one now. If you were born in 1977, what is the date? My son was also born that year.

Debi,
This is such a sad, yet wonderful tribute to Jan. I'm not sure I remember her; what I like about your poem is that you demonstrate that Fanstory is a caring community--a family of sorts.
Exceptional sentiment, Debi,
Best wishes,
Cindy
