As one of those boys who was always into something, whose mind and body churned like a maggot, more times than not into trouble, I certainly enjoy reading about Huck and Dewey. Thanks for sharing.

Dewey is thinking seriously about getting rid of his daddy. Huck might not care what happens to his daddy but he is afriaid for Dewey. He says his daddy won't fight fair. I'm not sure if he is afraid his father will kill Dewey or if he is aftraid Dewey might be put away for kill his daddy. Huck may be ready to kill him if he finds out about the secret. I"m enjoying you story.

Ohhhh, these boys have my Worry Meter in the danger zone a little bit more every week. This has the Of Mice and Men feel to it, and we know how dangerous that turned out!! Oy.

Nicely written. Some inner thoughts revealed, some secrets alluded to, some suspicions confirmed. Yep, this one had it all!! Very nice work. Keep 'em coming!

Great tension between the two boys here. The emotions seethe below the surface, bubbling up from time to time. It sounds as though Dewey's going to get himself into a heap of trouble if Huck doesn't stop him.
You must tell me sometime how to tell a good egg from a rotten one - before it's broken, that is.

It sounds like there is some trouble brewing as their could be some revenge on the cards and maybe someone will be taught a lesson. As always, I enjoyed the authentic dialogue and how this story is progressing, a joy to read Gretchen, love Dolly x

This is a very nice written story and I enjoyed very much listening to it. Your sentence structure your paragraph in and your presentation is very well done. Have a good week. Patricia.

I'm thinkin' Dewey is right.
Nicely written. Error free as near as I can tell.
Don't know why Huck would do Dewey thata way with the rotten egg, though.
Best wishes.

Good dialogue and interesting setting. Seems as though Miss Lynn will feature quite a bit in the future episodes. Huck will not forget her. Thanks for sharing. I will keep an eye on the progress of the story.
Take care and have a wonderful day.
