I really like this one, with its simplicity and clarity. It expresses a real and authentic personal experience, a life-changing encounter with Him, and it is powerful because that experience is undeniable and very meaningful. Best wishes for the contest.

Thank you, Wendy. If only more people could see how wonderful it is to put their faith in God. Life would be so much nicer. Thank you for your nice comments, my friend, and the best wishes in the contest. Warmest hugs, Sandra xx

This is a beautiful poem that brings out your deep ffaith .The form Minute is well suited to convey this. I think too many people lack faith these days and that is reflected in the society...
all the best for the contest.

Thank you, Sanku, for this lovely review. It's sad that not everyone has faith. It would make for a much nicer world. Thanks, my friend. I'm glad you liked my poem. Warmest hugs, Sandra xx

Hi and thanks for the read. Just wanted to let you know, in case it's showing differently on your computer, that due to a site error your piece is showing up in Comic Sans font. This usually happens when a user selects the original cursive font in the advanced editor. If you were trying to get it to show up in cursive, try one of the newer script fonts under the advanced editor, and it should show up more consistently across devices. You will see the difference if you look at your piece in different browsers, say on your phone (iPhones usually run Safari) vs. a laptop/desktop (usually running Edge/Chrome/Firefox).

(Comic Sans is a very old font that was used excessively in the 90s and early 2000s, so much that it became a massive cliche for its use in religious sentimental writing. I admit to using it on church Powerpoint slides in the 90s. Some people still like using it, whereas others would be embarrassed by it, so if you're in the former group, pay no heed to my comments -- just thought you might like to know).

Best regards,

Harambe (for President)

This is so beautiful. Never be unsure, friend, because God's Love is steadfast. Jesus has always been by my side and your minute poem is so well crafted and rhymed. Just beautiful/ God and Jesus and The Holy Spirit (I believe undivided), is in evert thing you do and protects you too. x

Thank you for sharing this.

With Love,

Alexandra xoxo :)

What a beautiful poem and sentiment. It is such a freeing gesture to offer our worries and problems to him. We feel his presence and the weight of everything is lifted off of us. Beautifully written. Gretchen

Hi Gretchen, thank you so much for reading this one. It was how I felt after my brother died, and then my awful illness in hospital. I thought the minute style would be the best way to write about it. I'm glad you enjoyed it, my friend. Warmest hugs, Sandra xx

BRAVO!! I really liked this piece. Excellent picture for this too.

I'm learning the same thing. He never leaves and always loves. Such. Love.

I especially like the part about 'He feels our pain'. I believe that. Congratulations on the well deserved award.

Apart from giving life purpose, faith can carry one through many a hard time. Your minute poem is beautifully constructed to show this. I imagine it has done much to sustain you in recent times.

It has, Tony. I needed Him desperately after my brother died, which in turn sent me spiralling down healthwise. From what I have been told, many didn't think I'd come through. My sons were scared witless, so was my husband. But, we can overcome anything with faith, even if it did mean joining Him a bit sooner than some would like.
Thank you for reading my poem, Tony, I really appreciate your thoughts. Warmest hugs, Sandra xx

This is a beautiful poem that is from the heart of everyone who is in need of God and finds him in the person of his son. The joy of faith that assures you that you are not alone cannot be beat by any other joy.

Thank you so much, Carol, for the lovely comments and the golden star! I'm so happy you enjoyed my poem! I don't know of any single person who hasn't called out God's name at least once when in a scary situation. And I don't know of anyone who has died who hasn't called His name before they've taken that journey into their uncertainty. Thanks, dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

This was easy to write as it was how I felt after losing my brother last November, and my subsequent long stay in hospital. I couldn't have coped without knowing he was by my side. Thank you so much for the lovely comments, Teri, I knew you would understand! Warmest hugs, Sandra xx
