This is a marvelous story that you have written about Lucille and Glover and I enjoyed listening to it those times in 1933 were very hard because of the great depression and I understand they're problem with having to face having another child.

I think everyone got along pretty good. Luckily the older ones got married and left home. Some of the Lay boys were a wild. They made some homemade whisky and got my mom drunk when she was agout five. I they had keep her mother from finding out until they sobered her up.

Losing a loved one is difficult enough but compounding it with losing your home and independence would be frightful. People back then had a stronger backbone and did what ever was needed or expected with a concern for themselves. Beautifully written, Beth. Very enjoyable.

Thank you Carol. We all too what we have to do but at least now we usually have more choices. I would really have hated to have been faced with what my grandmother had to deal with.

Annie Jane was wise to realize she couldn't run the farm by herself, but I know how hard it must haven been to give up her independence. I think it would be difficult to live in someone else's house, no matter how gracious they might be.

Thank you for the review. She actually divided her time among her four children because she was didn't want any one of the to feel she was cramping their style but she hated living out of suitcase ane really not feeling totally at home anywhere.
