This is a well crafted loop verse, mourning the loss of nature and urging us greater responsibility for the Earth so that it can look after us. I often wonder with loops verses whether they write themselves or the author sets out a very specific plan (or both). Whatever the case, this one evolves beautifully with its compelling environmental message. Well done, Jess, and good luck! Debbie

I really admire how you can bend metre and rhyme so adroitly to your will to convey a message. Having had a go at one myself, I've learned how tricky loop poetry can be, and yet yours flows so beautifully. The central message also comes through very clearly about our stewardship of the earth and the peace symbol in the tree stump above is a perfect fit. Great writing as ever! :)
