Hello Terry,
I loved this post. In so many of my own conversations, I start speaking about one thing and before you know it, I'm off on a tangent about something totally unrelated. If I'm lucky, I'll get back around to my original thought. My wife and I never took up dancing, but we did do other things and I ended up with seven kids. I smoked for more years than I care to think about, and while I've never really been much of a drinker, I'm thinking about taking it up more. We ran across some Kirkland eggnog at Costco that is in a bottle in the liquor department. It has whiskey, spiced rum and something else, plus cream and a shot of vanilla. I hope it's not available year round or I'll have a problem. Thanks for sharing this delightful post. I hope you have a blessed Christmas.

Terry, I so appreciate your honesty, and Will Rogers wit and wisdom. I quite agree about dancing and regret that my husband and I did not dance at our wedding. We dance all the time now, even in our old age. We put on a record and go to it, and usually it leads to ....
Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas and I'm so glad you've stayed on FanStory to bless us and keep us in your sights. I love your video and singing. How precious!
Sending you my very best today as always, an abundant blessings at Christmas. Sally xoxo

Terry, you're making me sad:-( I wish you lived closer - we'd have you for Christmas dinner - gladly.
There are a lot of people who are alone on Christmas, even though they are in the company of others. I hope you will spend the day looking back at all the happy times, as I know you were truly blessed for many years - and still are.
Although it's sad, I liked the way you wrote this - scattering your thoughts about while weighing what's important to remember. And focus on that last sentence: all things are possible. That's a wonderful thought.
I wish for you a peaceful Christmas day, perhaps filled with football and Whataburgers.
xoxo

Pam, thank you for the six stars. It's really not sad. I can accept the way things are. The Serenity Prayer works. Thank you for reading. Terry.

It's amazing how life forces changes on us that we have no choice but to accept. I like how you take it all in stride. I can relate to the chair. I could never give mine up either. Lol.

Thank you for reading. I don't get many guests, and they can sit anywhere...as long as it's not my Chair! Terry.

There was actually a SF movie where everyone had their expiration date on their wrist. I'm the same age as you and I'm shooting for 100. Three of my grandparents lived until their mid-nineties, the fourth put himself down rather than face cancer. If I read too many ads online about tinnitus, those damn cicadas are going to kill me before I beat the family record.

I loved this story. This was fun and I think my favorite part was when you said that your last drink was at 7:30 the night before and nobody saw you. When I reviewed this when you first posted it I was telling you that your baptist church was a lot like my church, as we couldn't do all that and more. But even my grandpa who was a minister used to have a little tv that they kept it in the closet and it only a came out on Sundays for the Twins games. Oh how they loved their Twins games.
Awesome story for the holidays. I loved this one!! Thanks!
