Hello Wendy,
of course Sunny needs to be treated in the manner that is most fitting for him. I was laughing while I read this post. It reminded me of our late dog Rigby. He had to have whatever I was eating at the time, plus his dog food. When I made salad, he would eat the lettuce, tomato, green and red pepper, carrots (we used to have to buy 2 pound bags of them for him) and cucumbers. I used to give him a little of whatever kind of cereal I was eating in the morning. I made the mistake once of putting some milk on it once. After that he wouldn't eat it without milk. He would stare at his bowl and then stare at me until I gave in. I think you're just being a good dog mommy. Well done gal.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Thanks so much Tom. A wonderful gift of six valued stars - that?s so lovely. Your review made me laugh too.
The egg and milk started from one time he was off his food. I offered an egg and he loved it. Never again could he eat his dog food without an entree of egg whisked with a little milk. Dogs are so smart. It?s a bit unnerving! Many thanks again.

I think you and Sunny are both brilliant! He has got to be one smart animal to figure out what he wants on any given day and to constantly change his mind (I really think a dumb dog would just do whatever you told him to). And you have to constantly figure out what Sunny wants now - which must take a lot of trial and error. (Should we conclude that Sunny has YOU figured out, as well? LOL!)

Another delightful adventure with Sunny. He should have his own blog or social media page.

Great fun, Wendy!

Ah yes, he has me figured out for sure, and he?s playing games with my mind. He can pick up food scraps from a picnic area but not eat from a bowl? And he must know by now that I can?t tie walking shoes while rubbing his tummy. He?s checking my priorities! I am so glad you enjoy his stories and my sincere thanks for the six stars. That makes me feel better already! lol.

It is amazing how dogs have their little habits and there is always a reason why they do things and you made me smile here as some of his habits are endearing, especially the tummy rubs! Sunny is intellegent and fun to be with Wendy, I wish I could meet him and stroke him, love Dolly x x x

You would love him Dolly, I am sure. He's such fun. I am sure he has his very good reasons for what he does, and I just wishI understood better how his doggy brain works. Thanks so much for reviewing. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I love how Sunny has his preferences of what to eat from. He's a very discerning young man. And, yes, I think the good china and silver would be just the thing for him. And a linen napkin. 8-)

Lol. Don't encourage him! I won't let him read your review, just in case .... He doesn't show much discernment when he picks up food from the ground at a picnic area! Many thanks for your fun review (and thanks for organising the prompts fort he club as well!).

Very nicely and cleverly written, Wendy. Sunny seems to be quite the pip (that's a good thing) though he drives you crazy with his placemat eating disorder (that's a joke, there is no disorder in his mind).

I'm always curious when I watch our dogs what goes through their brain? To me it's fascinating.

Enjoyed your post!
Go Sunny!
John

Ha, ha! Yes, there's no disorder in HIS mind at all. He knows exactly what he likes or doesn't like, and why. I am so pleased you enjoyed reading about Sunny. He can't eat from a bowl, but doesn't mind picked up food from the ground at a picnic area. Go figure. Loved your fun review - many thanks.

Animals can be so frustrating at times. There is a pet food manufacturer in UK called Bella and Duke, named for the cat and dog in their TV ads. They have their food served on place mats. Perhaps Sunny has seen the ads and is copydogging.

Oh, maybe that's it. Lol. But why will he pick up food from the ground at a picnic area? It could be a day old, or more! Thanks so much for your fun review!

I couldn't help but laugh. One of my cats is like that but not Harley. He will eat anything that resembles food at anytime and anywhere. I am pretty sure you're going to lose this food battle with Sunny. I keep losing it with Monty, our cat. Give Sunny a hug from me.

Lol. Yes, I will give him a hug from you. At times he will pick up food from the ground at a picnic area. But not a sensible bowl! Yes, I believe I will lose this battle. Thanks so much for reviewing. I am so pleased you enjoyed it.

I have seen children who very much mimic what your dog is doing. I have a little great grandson that when he gets his mindset that he's not gonna do something he is not do it. I enjoyed your story very much. It made me chuckle a few times I wish you the very best. Have a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year. Patricia.

Although generally speaking our dogs have good natured. Particularly Buddy, the dog with short legs and a muscular build. But they've all been on the manipulative side, a little like us really with quaint propensities, I think Sunny is quite, we all like to think our Dog is more special than others, but they, like us, differ from each other, they are truly individual and quirky, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you for reviewing, Roy. Yes, he is a little quirky, like most of us. But he makes up for it with his other qualities.

He has his quirks. I can't drink from a plastic cup. Has to be glass. My dogs are hounds. Beagles. They would eat from the garbage and often do grab a quick snack from there. You can't ever get the upper hand on dogs. They look at us with those puppy dog eyes and our will melts. They win but the payment in unparalleled love is worth it. Gretchen

Yes, absolutely true, unparalleled and unconditional love is worth it, every time. He will sometimes pick up food from the ground at a picnic area. Beats me! Thanks so much for your super review. And I don't like plastic cups or glasses either, nor cardboard straws!
