Hello Helen,
thank you for bringing this tragic event to our attention. I had no idea that her brother had passed. I don't usually follow this author, but I'll send her a note nonetheless. I appreciate you sharing this gal.
Have a blessed evening.

This poem of consolation intended for Sandra also impressed me in that you could turn a minute poem into something that went deeper than just a moment in time. You have to read it more than once to see how much time you took to get it to fit this minute form. Nice share.

Im so sorry to learn that she lost her brother. I lost my brother-in-law much too young who had also suffered from childhood diabetes. I can imagine how devastating that would be to lose a brother. This is love poem to share with Sandra and hre family.

I am not surprised that you wrote this poem to comfort Sandra and give us on FS a chance to let Sandra know we are thinking of her and her family. It says so much about your caring and loving heart.
A beautiful and moving poem.
Best wishes,
Mary

This is a beautiful poem that demonstrates your concern, understanding, and love of family. I extend my deepest condolences to Sandra and her family, knowing how difficult it is to lose a beloved member of the family.
Thank you Helen, for your lovely poem that speaks for those of us who are not poets.

Thank you, Lorraine. You have been through this loss recently so you completely understand. You and your sisters were always so close and I wish I could hear your harmonies.
Hugs!

I love your poem and your notes, Helen.
My dad and one of his brothers also had diabetes, but my Dad wasn't diagnosed till he was thirty. My uncle passed away when he was only 37 and my dad when he was 63.
I think it was his death that made my mum fall into a depression that eventually turned into dementia.
I agree with what you say about Sandra and her family, BTW.
Take care. xxx

I had known that he was in the hospital, but I had not known it was this bad. I wish I could write a personal poem for her, like you did, but this is not my wheelhouse. I am sure she will appreciate your personal touch. Blessings for her family and yours. Karen

This is a kind thought and I am sure Sandra will appreciate it but shouldn't a kyrielle have a repeating line in each quatrain which is usually a a plea such as Lord have mercy?

Darn! I obviously wrote a minute poem. I'll change the description. My brain has been taking vacations lately. Maybe the tai chi isn't helping! Thanks for catching that, Jim!
Hugs!
