Well done! I baulked at this challenge because I wasn't too sure how I could develop a story seamlessly without breaking the sentence. You did this very well. As a fellow animal lover, I responded to your character's life decisions. Animals lack judgement and they give us so much unconditional love. Thanks for the share and good luck in the contest.

This sentence reminds me of a couple of my favorite lengthy sentences in the beginning of the book by Steinbeck called Cannery Row. It is on pdf so every once in a while when I want to savor some luscious writing, I go to the pdf link.

You did a really fine job with sentence story. I didn't realize what the challenge was until I finished reading your work. I think that must have been a real challenge. Nicely done and luck in the contest, and outliving all those cats and one dog. Terry

Hello Friend,
It's a nice piece of Non-Fiction meeting the required norms, having captivating flow throughout from the very beginning up to the end, and transparently depicting its theme.
Picture complements the subject-matter.
LAUDABLE Attempt!
BEST of LUCK!!

Wow, that's a well-crafted one-sentence story. You packed a lot into it, and identified what is most important to you and how you plan to be around to take care of everyone. Nice job.

I think this is very clever because never, at any point, did I think I needed a breath and for your story to have a full-stop somewhere along the way. It simply flowed beautifully relating a lot of information in an entertaining, well expressed way. Well done and good luck! Debbie

Thank you. Aren't these silly little prompts fun to write? I love them, and I find them challenging.

I love it. Wish I had another star.
I remember getting permission in grade school to write a single sentence for a 20 spelling words each week instead of individual sentences - as long as I did not simply list them.
Good luck in the contest.

Wow! I think you did it. I initially glanced at the overall view of this piece and determined it was bound to be a run-on sentence, improperly punctuated. No. You created one continuous sentence, properly punctuated and expressing a complete thought. Well done. Best wishes in the contest.

Wow, such a story and I totally get it that we are responsible for other people's lives pets included. Frankly I go every day to work saying that my cats need a safe home and good food and care. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and the contest.

Holy Toledo, Mystery Writer!
Now that is one Looooooooooooooong sentence!
I didn't read the prompt first, and I scurried to it immediately after I finished your well-crafted "The Sentence is the Story" submission!
Kudos to all of your wonderful furry friends, and for the non-furry Cindy as well!
Best Wishes!

Thank you. I just hope I have all the commas in the right places. It was making my head spin by the time I finished it.
