So true, Beth, about meddling where one shouldn't.
You did a great job with this theme. It could apply to
anyone in any relationship. I liked the way you formatted
the lines with the different bold/not bold font. It was
easy to follow. Your conversation for this prompt was
expressed well. You gave readers much to think about.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

This dialogue story, Relationships are Fragile, could happen any day to anyone. This is a slice of life for sure. It's a wonder how someone can be motivated to act through such random actions.

Thank you Bill, I appreciate the review and comments. This is only partially fiction. The names were changed and I was the one motivated to get married because I thought I waas about to lose him.

Well done. A short play with a well-thought out conflict and a denouement. Clever thinking to have everything turn out well. Good luck in the contest.

Beth--great story! Karma's a bitch! I figured I'd pop in to your place and catch up to Remembering Yesterday in the event I missed any chapters--lo and behold--I found this at 14--congrats on your blue ribbon pending. Cheers. LIZ

Thank for bumping it for me to number 15. It's actually a sort of a true story with name changes. My husband brother was the jerk to forced me to think I was about to lose him by telling him he saw me in the restaurant with the guys. I agreed to marry him that weekend and never regretted it.

Jumping to conclusions by bystanders has caused the downfall of many relationships, so this dialogue is true to life, and you wrote it well. Best wishes for the contest.

You dialogued it! Tag free! Good work.
Too bad about Jake being the best man, though. He clearly isn't best man material.
Good luck in the contest.

Isn't life so ironic, fancy that, things can end up in reverse to what one thinks, we shouldn't look too deeply into things, poke our noses where it doesn't belong, trouble is, nothing is guaranteed in this life, beautifully written, excellent entry in this contest, blessings Roy

This was an intriguing conversation between Jake and Sandi. Jake originally denied telling Steve he saw Sandi at a restaurant. But in the end, Steve thanked Jake for being a tattletale. It hastened Steve and Sandi's engagement, while Jake and Cheryl broke up. Great story. Your chosen picture paired perfectly with the dialogue. Best wishes in the contest.

I enjoyed reading this dialog. I like the happy ending of the couple getting married. Everything is not what it seems as shown in your tale here, we must be careful when choosing to speak about what we see. Your dialog flows smoothly and is true to life.

Thank you so much for a great review. It is pretty close to being the true story of why I got married when I did.

The story conforms to the prompt, in word count and it stayed with dialogue only. I enjoyed it, and the storyline is good. The dialogue feels real, although I would have liked them to be in a shorter flow... But overall, it's a sound story.
