I have been to Nashville and it seems like a most unlikely spot for something like this to have happened. We never know exactly where or when someone is going to just do the unthinkable. Every day that I go out for my walk I am aware of the fact that there are those out there who could cause me harm. But I choose not to fear what might happen to me I am going to continue to walk and enjoy the outdoors. Patricia

It is called living, and not in fear. We all know monsters are out there in all shapes and sizes. But, we can not stop living as we please in fear of them. Appreciate your comments and the review.

The school shooting in a nut shell is this, she was a trans growing up and these religious schools frown upon people of those genders. Evidently they gave her a hard time as a returning hire while she worked for the school. In her state of mind she decided it was the schools fault and she couldn't come with it anymore and snapped .She should not have killed the children or workers at the school. If she wanted to go out with a bang she just could have committed sucide there and still got her point across by leaving a note.May she burn in hell!guns don't kill people behind the trigger does.

Agree. Guns do not kill people. Irresponsible gun owners do. Appreciate your comments and the review.

I think most people in the US agree with you that It way past time to do something to end this craziness. People use such asinine reasons to do nothing. "Gun's don't kill people, people kill people." "If someone wants to kill you there isn't anything you can do about it." "There out to take away our constitutional rights" etc. In other countries, this doesn't happen. Only in America. Living in the south, I grew up with guns but not assault rifles, and If anyone got shot, it was usually an accident. If some person with mental problems feels the need to kill and all they had to do the deed with was a kitchen knife, they might reconsider.

Mostly agree with your comments. I do believe guns do not kill people, people do. Never seen a gun pick itself up and fire itself. One thing needed is responsible gun ownership. Appreciate the review..

We can't carry guns, period. There are no gun shops in the UK, yes, you can buy one but it's only after they have proved they can by law. A farmer can buy a shot gun to kill foxes that attack his animals, ie chickens, but I couldn't buy one. I doesn't matter how sane I am. (I'm totally sane!!)
I agree with what you've said. How many more children have to die because of the second amendment? I've often wondered, if that law has been 'amended' once, why can't it happen again? Well done, Brett. Sandra xx

Interesting you all can not freely purchase guns. Not against gun ownership, just support responsible gun ownership. Appreciate your comments and support.

No one here wants the sale of guns to be made legal. There is knife crime, but every living person can get hold of a knife just by walking into their kitchen. We have had a couple of shootings here recently, one killed was a 9 year old child. The man was caught immediately, and was found guilty yesterday, we will find out what his sentence will be on Monday. He was a gangster, and somehow managed to smuggle in a gun. I would hate the law to change and allow the sale of guns in our country. :(

This received 20 stars, not for your expertise, but for the topic. This country has a lot to answer for, and I think #1 will be the purposeful loss of God's children, as America sits by and does nothing. I think those people will eventually be judged for their inaction. This as all the others are so tragic. I hope someday (soon) this country opens their eyes. Have a blessed day. Shirley

Everyone I know who legally owns a gun is very responsible. Getting permits, being trained, keeping it locked away and such. But our mental health system in this country is a proverbial joke. This loss of life is heart breaking. Not sure why anyone needs an AR. I think there should be different types of background checks, depending on the weapon. Your essay is on point. Gretchen

You may have a good idea there about different background checks for different people. Appreciate your comments and the review.
