The detectives and Elizabeth and Cooper seem to be agreeing about a lot of things. The story suddenly changes from crime boss to a Pied Piper Philanthropist. When the Pied Piper was cheated, he did a very bad thing, but a philanthropist is definitely a good person. I am waiting to see how that all comes together.

I am blessed and privileged to receive your shiny stars. It's been a struggle to keep up with writing and reviewing, but the story is flowing easily and that helps. Thank you for the bear hug, your kindness and the shiny stars.
North Carolina has been hectic but enjoyable. I leave Wednesday to return to frigid Rockford. But my puppies will be waiting with their wet noses and kisses so I am blessed.

It is good to know this family isn't really connected to crime. They seem to be good people who want to stay out of trouble and are apparently relieved to know the grandfather had a good side as well.

Internally, I needed to heal Cooper's emotions concerning his grandfather and I guess I couldn't leave the reader thinking he was just another gangster. I am thrilled you understood and enjoyed it.
