Very creative. The font and background and picture match perfectly. A lot of people miss on the small details, but you nailed it.
Great work! Keep it up poet!

Yes, each day is a gift that needs to be treasured. Because tomorrow you could find yourself alone. Each one of us has a time limit. And we never know what day or hour God will call us home. I do relate. Thank you for sharing.

This was a very good poem. It flowed quite well. I expected to see more about lost loved ones, though. I lost my husband three years ago come Wednesday. I still miss him so much! I will just be sitting watching television or writing, and I will realize how much I miss him and just start crying.

Hello Monica, thank you for your heartfelt review and for sharing your personal loss. The loss of a spouse is a pain beyond compare. Tomorrow is your husband's 3 year anniversary date. I will pray for both of you, Sincerely, LateBloomer

The author's words are engaging, descriptive and creative. I found these
words to be sad when you lose someone you love. Yet as the author states, to focus on a new day realizes life is a Gift. Thank you for the author's notes - they are a reminder for me to live in the moment. The artwork is awesome and goes well with this beautiful poem.

I have to say, as I read this beautifully written poem, I thought of my sister, Rose. Her husband passed away last month. I know in time, she will "give thanks for today."
Best wishes,
Mary

Hi Mary, thank you for your great review and for sharing your thoughts, especially about your sister Rose. In time, she will give thanks as will my cousin's widow. Her husband died about two months ago. I wrote this poem for her, but I will not share it with her for a while. I don't think that she is ready. Once again, thank you for your review. LateBloomer

Nicely done, Latebloomer, but when I see the fourteen lines that represent a sonnet, I cry out for rhyme. This topic is a good one, and I think a try at rhyming might give you a great poem.

Thank you, Paul, for your great review and for sharing your thoughts. I wrote this poem in Blank Verse. The Blank Verse Sonnet is simply a sonnet written in Blank Verse. It has all of the features of the sonnet without rhyme. I have a saying, "Life doesn't always rhyme so why should poetry." Once again, thank you for your review. I truly appreciate the time spent. I think you should write a poem about your quote: "Life doesn't always rhyme so why should poetry."

Lol. A terrific thought. I'll have to think about that one, and the million dollar question, "Will the poem rhyme or not?" Lol. Thanks for making me laugh and smile. LateBloomer
p.s. I have many quotes and sayings.
I have a friend who wants me to put them in a little book. Big-teeth smile.

Amen, Yes, things always look better in the daylight. I enjoyed your poem. I am alone with faithful dog. I lost my partner and I do not grieve because God has the last say. We are in End of Days. Blessings, Kay.

This is beautiful, LB. I'm positive it helped with the grieving that a family member was going through. When presented correctly, the power of the written word is meaningful and healing. Best, JohnC

Hi John, thank you for your great review and for sharing your thoughts. I haven't shared the poem with my cousin's wife yet.
His death is too recent. I'll hold on to it for a little while and then
forward it to her. Once again, thank you. I truly appreciate the time spent. LateBloomer

Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem. No matter how long your loved one has been gone, there are many moments when you miss them. I miss my husband most this time of year, as we used to go for a lot of drives to see the autumn colour. It's no fun alone.

This is a beautifully stated poem. The text size is great. The message is clearly given. The speaker is lonely and especially in the nighttime hours. The visual fits well. Thanks for sharing your poem.
