This is well written piece. A good contest entry and it should do well. The photo you chose is wildly appropriate. I'm almost speechless over what is happening in the Ukraine. The horrors they witness daily is unconscionable!!

I sometimes wish NATO had sent all their jets to protect Ukraine. Call Putin's bluff on his nukes. Prob'ly a good thing I'm not in charge.

It is well thought out, and has believable reasons for the activities of the Special Operations forces. I especially like your creative idea of a Sean Penn movie to be released this summer. I'm sure this is what is being said in Russia, and a few people will believe it. But more and more Russian civillians know the real truth, but when they try to protest, they are thrown in prison. That man is totally insane, and all this is being done to give him more power. Will he ever be stopped? Very well done. I love the sarcasm and satire heard in and written in this essay.
Actually knowing Russian propaganda it is probably close to what they are reporting. The maternity hospital was a really an army post according to Russian reports!
