Mary Kay,
This is an excellent poem of faith.
I found if a person sinks to the bottom of their life, it still is not too deep for the
lord to rescue us.
I like your beautiful presentation.
Many blessings,
Cindy

Dear Cindy,
Thank you for your beautiful and excellent review, for the five stars and for your thoughtful comments. I appreciate what you wrote, reflecting the message of my poem, that the Lord can still reach us, even though we're deep in distress and trouble. I'm glad you liked my presentation; I did my own artwork. May God bless you and your loved ones.
Love, Mary Kay xoxo

Yes is your Faith contest entry Rich in Theme and Imagery.
It read well and it flowed well there was no Grammar issues.
The Adjective and Objective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while, Descriptive Measures aligned Perfectly.
Good luck with this Mary.
It's nice to have Faith...
Especially when all your Hopes and Dreams...
When all has turned...
Into Fears and Nightmares...
(It seems?)
...
Yes, when all that we have?
Tis gone in the blink of an eye!
And, no matter what we do?
And, no matter how much we cry?
No matter how guilty we feel?
Yes, that makes me want to die!
We need to know that in God's arms?
As He wraps Us within His loving charms?
No longer do we need to be Alarmed!
No longer scared of Harm!
For we know that then?
Yes, we will soon be together again!
I thought you might like that.

To my dear Doc Ricky,
I thank you with all my heart for your beautiful and exceptional, six-star review of my poem, which I believe you did recognize, as a fellow poet and believer, as a heart-cry to God.
Please accept my apology for the delay in responding. I had both family issues and doctor appointments this week.
I am deeply touched that you included in your review some original poetry, responding to the feelings I expressed, as I cried out to God. I especially love this part of what you wrote:
"We need to know that in God's arms?
As He wraps Us within His loving charms?
No longer do we need to be Alarmed!
No longer scared of Harm!"
That was so kind and empathetic. Thank you so much, my friend.
May God bless you, and give you the desires of your heart.
With love in Christ,
Mary Kay

As I continue on my journey here with fan story shedding my pain my endless and never endings...
My happily forever After Never After...
I've come to learn that life is a gift worth living!
And sharing is the way we must continue giving!

Life is a gift worth living, well said. Amen!

Afghanistan was a good example of solving problems with human solutions, the mess is only delayed, and the problem is still there, with terrorist groups rising again. Whereas only God has the solution to evil, who would have thought of God dying on our behalf? This is beautifully written with all those wonderful scriptures to back it up, with a wonderful sonnet, well done, blessings Roy

Dear Roy, thank you so much for your excellent and very meaningful review of my poem. I'm sorry for the delayed response. Yes, the situation in Afghanistan is very grievous, and indeed shows what a mess we can make through human solutions alone. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." -Isaiah 55:9 NIV
Yes, I don't think man could have ever come up with the atoning death of Christ, as a solution for our sin problem! God is so holy, righteous and good! May He bless you and your family, wonderfully.

Reading this poem reminds me of the time when I was sinking into the bottomless pit of destruction. But the love and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ saved me and all believers. I can feel the pain with you but the Lord we serve is greater than our troubles. Thank you so much for this wonderful poem, Kit.

This is a good entry into the contest. It is in a sonnet-like format that inspires hope that we will come out of all our problems with the help of faith. Even this pandemic

Thank you so much, Joan! I appreciate your excellent and meaningful review of my poem. I was writing about a difficult set of problems that my husband and I are facing, but of course these are occurring against the backdrop of a world spinning out of control, it would seem... but God is still on the throne! We must continue to look up, in ALL these situations -- including this horrible pandemic -- and pray for His will to be done, "on earth as it is in Heaven."
I'm blessed that it inspires hope for you. It did, for me. God bless you!
Love, Mary Kay xoxo

I understand there are those who are agnostics or atheists. I can't imagine not having my faith in God to lean on--the grace of prayer to life me when I am flailing in a see of turmoil and doubt. Your poem speaks to the healing nature of belief. It is not WHY we believe, but it is certain we will find solace in Jesus' love!

Your poem on faith is well written. Good rhyming and easy to read. Those are all great scriptures you have included in your notes. I like the lines: "No matter how deep in this hole we fall,
He hears our cries, when Our Savior we call."
