It was an amazing time for music and 45s. How fun that you followed Paul McCartney's career in your poem and weaved in the title of one of the Beatles' popular songs!

So good, Sally. I think yesterday is on of the all time, most known, sung and covered than any song ever. Well that and Hey Jude.
Paul is a powerhouse of talent and everything he did with the Beatles was magical.
Excellent tribute to a most gifted musician. :))

You brought back some great memories of the Fab Four. Paul was my favorite as well. Records were cheaper, life was simpler. And it was exciting just to hold hands...

I enjoy listening to the Beatles. I think it is John Lennon who broke the band apart. Interesting poem with a few songs written down. Thanks for sharing! I like it.

Sally:
I like your tribute to Sir Paul McCartney. I think Yesterday
is probably my all-time favorite hit of the Beatles. It has
this haunting quality that's hard to describe. I was in 7th grade when the Beatles hit the good ole USA.

The music and its presentation of the Fab Four will never be repeated. I enjoyed your reminiscing, Sally. The videos are great. My brother Tim was the Number 1 Beatle fan. He could tell the name of the song, the year, how long on the charts, who wrote it and more ( he could do the same for all the groups). Your words flow smoothly and create great imagery. The image is perfect, too. Today's music, and I use that word sparingly, is only about who can scream the loudest words that don't even make sense with no music and who can look the worst on stage whether dressed or not.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

I just love the music of yesterday, (and that
song too!)
I've over 700 songs on my Alexa, on 20 different playlists,
and I listen during housework, needlework, art.
I love this poem you wrote in celebrations of all
our yesterdays!!
Blessings...
