This is an excellent chapter. I like the way that Jane stood up to the Indian woman and as a result gained so degree of respect. I also glad that she has a ally in Little Deer and possibly a plan from escape. This is excellent writing.

You are so right God have not sent us in this world to punish us and when the time of pain is coming he sent us a sign of freedom: '
As the women gossiped in their own tongue, Little Deer whispered in my ear that she has a plan of escape with little fear of being understood. I learned she'd suffered for two years and through her patience, she'd earned enough trust. "The Lord has promised, he will not give us more than we are able to bear." Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.
