Yes, they all can stare back at you!! You're right, it could be a cousin to the Senyru - Ha! So glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for your most kind review. With regards, Sue

Sue,
This is like a cross between a cinquain and a haiku! It is more difficult I think becuase if you are supposed to make it an expression of one and all, it greatly restricts the writer with content. You pulled this one off with ease my friend.
Sincerely,
Curt

As an artist who paints in acrylics, I know the feeling you have captured with your poem and picture.
The naani form seems perfect for your subject. I really enjoyed the line, "Wanting to be brushed by strokes of genius," with its personification.

Sue - Yes, the artist's dreaded blank canvas which is synonymous with the writer's blank sheet. You captured the feeling well. I enjoyed the read. Charlie.

Hullo Sixteezkid .....
This is very cleverly worded in compliance with the requirements for the Naani format. What you have written
is easily understood and is thought-provoking. I specially like the words ... Wanting to be brushed by strokes of genius.
As this is a Contest entry, I wish you well.
With love from ... Nanette Mary.

Loved this! Such a simple poem, yet the concept is so universal. I also love the title, it is a perfect fit once you have read the piece. Good luck!

Oooh, I LOVE this one! You have painted the perfect picture of artistry in only fifteen words and twent-two syllables.
You have given me an excellent lesson in Naani poetry. Someday I hope I can write as well as you do. :)
Exceptional!

Gramma Kathy, I am SO happy you really liked this work! I saw the contest and thought, 'why not'. And what was on my mind today was how much anxiety I have right now to get back to my painting. Such a sense of insecurity!!
Thank you VERY much for this most generous review. From my heart...Sue
