enjoyed your poem. What I got out of this is first dealing with insecurity and doubt. but then faith and discovery that God gives you strength and confidence in your self both in coping with loss and confidence in your talent.
Well done.

Dolly, thank you so much for this comment. Yes, I feel much better.
Comment from Jannypan (Jan)
Your poem reads well, Marjon. I like the way you formatted your lines--esp the word away. Your thoughts/feelings are clear to readers. I could feel what you were saying about yourself. Those 'scraps' that you threw away probably were ingrained in your brain and appeared in some for in other of your writing. I understand how you could have thought about the way you viewed God, but in the end you realized the truth.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

-Stunning artwork and
nice presentation, Marjon.
-Your notes are very much appreciated.
-I didn't know it was two years ago
when your husband passed.
-You have written an excellent poem
about how you tried to cope with your
grief with "crumpled scraps" in a box.
-I can't imagine what you must have
gone through, and I know from your
writings, it was a very difficult and
emotional road.
-I am glad that you came to
the conclusion that God always
has loved you, and you found
His love, as well.
-This is a beautiful poem. Thank
you for sharing it and the notes.

A very well-written heartfelt poem. Sometimes we need to clean ourselves from the inside to discover God was always there waiting for us to invite Him to help us through our struggles.

Dear Marjon, God is very patient, He will just wait around
until we are ready to accept his help.
This part of your story, told in the poem above, is very special. It is not every one who can tell when they found God again .

Marion, I am 62. In one of your replies you said you were in your 80's? If that's true, you write with such a young pen!!i love your poems. I wanted to be a writer since I was 11; and though I dabbled here and there, I never really tried seriously until 2 or 3 years ago. It's not too late. But, this is true, i love Jesus. with all my heart and soul. He matters more in my life than anything, anyone. IMy life has no distractions , nor excuses --I am free to get into the word and pray!
Marjon, it's not to late to write and be really good at it. Your poems are warm and deep.
Have a nice Sunday, hun, please write me any time.
Blessings,
Cindy

Cindy, thank you very much for this review. I'll be 80 on 8th of Februari. And, like you, I have been writing since very young, I was 15
when I won a prize for my writing in the Lyceum where I studied. I never stopped writing since, but also only seriously when I got pensioned at 65. So...as you say, it is never too late. You go, girl!

Unfortunately this is the cry of people, but many do not try because they feel because they abandoned Him, He has abandoned them, but the beauty of the promises of God, reveal He abandons, that's another reason Jesus came, to reveal God's everlasting mercy. My favourite scripture is probably, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" and "God is not a man that He should lie." Blessings Roy

'From the time I kept a pencil in the toilet: poem-attempts were made on toilet paper. All of these crumpled scraps lived in a box, waiting patiently until today.' That is great. A writer is always ready for when inspiration hits!! Loved it!!!!
Enjoyed. (So sorry for your loss.)

It's two years now, so I am over the worst pains. Of course, no one forgets a loss of a loved one. But you learn to live on in a good way, also alone.
Thanks for the review!
