This senryu, On a Tonal Scale, presented as a 5-7-5, takes a funny turn with the gray hair reference. Those gray areas either be coaxed back to black or allowed to race to that white shade.

I don't cover my gray hairs, but I have friends who are starting to look like your picture; a mess because their gray hair is showing.
change "grey" to "gray"

Oh this is great. I feel like you definitely have a chance at sweeping the contest. So creative with the use of the cliche against your grey haired guy. Great job!
