Lol! That's cute. I'm glad you got to use your French in this little piece. Congratulations on the win!
By the way, to avoid all the garbling of accents done by the FS editor, you can use the Advanced Editor which has an icon which will show you the e aigu (é) among all kinds of accented letters to choose from.

Well, I guess anybody would LUV to have a translating machine to send them on cushy assignments like that one. Good luck in the contest with this fun write. Marilyn

This was a funny piece. I can imagine this happening to someone. Good flow and I thought the ending was perfect. Well done and good luck in the contest.

I was excited when I started reading this. I know, a few words of French, but couldn't translate. Thankful for the translater. The translation really had me excited. I was ready for quite a story. The dialogue was great, and the mystery deepened when the boss was called. I was hooked, and I hope that this is not a stand alone story. I hope that this ending is not really the end. I hope something exciting happens in France. I really was interested, until the last line. This is well written, fun, and mysterious. The last line, while well written, left me disappointed. I was wanting more.

Wow! That was a messed up message. What's missing, for me, is how the message could be so wrong. Are there words that might sound like others? The explanation would help this story a lot. FOX FEATHER HORSE DONKEY. ?????

Thank you for reviewing and your kind comments. I thought I had explained about the person who initially sent the message did not understand working the translator. Sorry.
