This is a super poem, Christine. Love the image to illustrate this fun write. Word choices, flow and rhyming are just right and bring a smile. I do think that even doggies get bored. Me and mine have been stuck in the house pretty much for 3 days during a snowstorm. Everybody is itching to get out. When we're bored we want to eat and sleep whether we're people or doggies. :) Marilyn

Hi Susan, Thank you this just came to mind as I do my reviews and sometimes write in the early morning and I spend a lot of time still in bed on FS and after a few hours just snuggled under for a little sleep LOL .a bit of fun this one Cheers Christine

How I can relate to this one (especially because it's Monday and it's still snowing in Chicago). The bouncy feel of the poem contrast with the urge to stay in bed - nice, given the poem's message. (an aside on the meter - the strongly accented "No!" of your penultimate line seems to interrupt the meter, since all of the other lines seem to begin with an unaccented syllable, but that may just be my read).

At any rate, a great Monday morning poem - thanks!

Hi Mark, Thank for your review and comment I hadn't thought of that but wanted to highlight the No as my mind body still wanted to stay in bed but my mind was telling me No get up. It is easy to want to stay especially when it is cold. Ha Ha. We arejust starting to get cooler nights and days here it is mid Autumn so Winter is coming. We get a little snow in winter but usually only lasts a few hours before it melts. stay warm Cheers Christine

A very well-written poem about a lazy day when we can sleep late and relax for a while. Put all chores aside and take a day off. I sometimes wish I can do just that. I cannot sleep later than 7am no matter what.

Hi Sandra, Yes I too wake up early but sometimes just pull the covers up for a while longer. I do a lot of FS writing and replies in the morning while ai am tucked up in bed. with my Ipad sometimes I just re sniggle back under the doona LOL Thanks forcyour review Cheers Christine Must get up soon

Hi Don, Thank you and yes it is easy to be lazy on a cold day. Re the date in Australia we write the day first then the month then the year so It was written on 11 / 4/ 2018. I know some places put the month first and then the day so that may ne the confusion Cheers Christine
