What a terrific acrostic poem, Craig. You worked your new word in and I had to read again to find it. What a strange thing to exhume Cromwell's corpse, hang it in chains and then behead it. Honestly we humans are the strangest creatures of all. So grisly. Did it help?

It is an apt elucidation of your word for the day. I have read and heard that Cromwell
and his army were quite like the SS in suppression of democratic principles and activities. Even aside from the bloody hell of a monarch's head. That no one could challenge or defeat him excepting the Almighty when a dark cloud finally took him off to THE death. Nice poem though.

A very well-written acrostic poem and historic lesson. The human race seem to be more cruel and bloodthirsty than we would thought. There is still the fight to have the ultimate power and some will not stop until they have the power to destroy the rest.

It seems to be the biggest indignity of all, to lose your head and of course many did in those times. Both men and women their heads, from queens to paupers, noble men and thieves. Your acrostic is clever and has something to say and its a pity it isn't in a contest! Love Dolly x
