Oh yes, I truly enjoy the rhythm this type of poem creates when read, Tom.
The name of the form your poem is written in escapes me at the moment, but I enjoyed it just the same.
Impeccable rhyming and meter.
Well done, my friend!

Linked by two supernatural piscatorial manifestations this is a very effective piece ekphrastic verse. I can't remember whether there is a requirement for the c rhyming couplet to be polysyllabic but if there isn't the fact that you use it here is very effective. The b rhyme provides the link in the chain between the first and second octogram and links back to line two at the end

Your eye for finding an object or animal in photos is amazing. When you have pointed out that the fish head appears in the lower left corner of the photo helped me to spot it, I would probably have not seen it at all. I think it would be fun to sit by your side as you point out the figures you see in the clouds. Patricia

It's always entertaining to fish for the images in your Animated Stills--pun intended! I enjoyed your use of the Octogram form and your rhymes, plus "ghost" simile. Cheers- Joan

WOW!... I actually see it also!... Neat poem... Nicely put together,
great concept!... I just don't see where you should change anything...
Well Done as far as I'm concerned!

I loved this poem and I do see the fish head in the Still. Well done, I was imagining see a new species and your words describe exactly what I think I would see. You led the readers to envision a unique fish. Well done.

I does look like a fish. I always wonder how the fish survive underneath all of that ice.
Great ababccdd rhyme scheme.

What an amazing picture and poem. It does look like a fish head just below the ice and I can see where you got the inspiration from. Please put your next one in a contest on this site.
Have a great day and Merry Christmas!
