Your story within a poem is a nice, heart warming story. It held my interest and I enjoyed reading it. It flows and rhymes well and good alliteration of words. I also like your artwork choice. It goes well with your poem.

What a delightful story this is. The loyalty of pets (especially dogs) is amazing! This poem had alot of feeling and emotions in it on both sides, An exceptional depiction of loyalty. Great job!

Thanks for the review. Dogs and elephants seem to have a sixth sense that we do not. Mick recognized his friend's heart in the young man that received it. Cheers, j

I liked the poem Mick. It is well written and rhymes nicely. I don't know who to feel sorry for pat or the dog. Anyway happy ending for them both. Best wishes. Kurisu.

Pat died that night, he was an organ donor, so the young man received his heart. Mick recogized his master's heart. Now it's kinda like two stories, ha ha, cheers, j

This poem tells such a touching fictional/could be real story between an owner and the loyal canine. Your well crafted words certainly roused my fear for the canine and felt happy for the dog with the good ending. The story's tone is about relief that the canine can still have its best owner after the three lonely nights. I can see the subjects situation as I read along which makes this poem a good contender. Your four stanzas showed what was happening to Pat and how Mick could only do until another man came to save Pat. I was very touched reading stanza three and four. I really like your line "Mick's spirits soared when he saw a young man" is very well written to show the dog's happiness that a savoir came to the rescue. Overall, you used many show words for me to follow along with what the two do daily and the incidents happened. With this story, you had end rhyming is great and terrific use of poetic technique alliteration in the last line of the last stanza to close out the heart warming story between the two loving friends. Good luck in the entry.
