This is a tender and touching poem. I liked that you expressed comfort and hope especially in the last stanza.
I can't imagine a parents grief at loosing a child. It would be a heartbreaking experience. A good friend of mine lost one of her twin boys in a drowning accident which was horrible. But, it also almost destroyed her marriage. I learned that that is not uncommon in the loss of a child.
Well done dip.
Blessings

thankyou so much for the insightful review much appreciated. I too can't imagine losing a child It would be a tragedy for both parents and can cause grief with guilt from either parent I am sure especially a baby dying from SIDS or some other disease
I feel for your friend.

It seems as if six stars and a thank you are not enough for the best ever write in the world. I did weep as I remembered my daughter and the tragedy now of my sick one but this is the most loving, caring, and beautiful write ever. God Bless You....

This poem is heartfelt and heartbreaking that I thought it was about your son. You made it seem real. Very well written.

Thankyou so much Gypsy You have made my day. Fortunately it is not about any of my kids but I just can't begin to imagine the pain someone would be going through with such a loss. Thankyou for the comments on such an emotive subject

There is nothing worse than a parent losing her child, no matter what the age. My sister lost her grown son several years ago.
I'm so glad this has spiritual overtones. I do believe that their souls live on. Hugs, Lou

Death of a child is never easy to accept. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very sad read. Death is no respecter of persons. Rest in Piece.

This is a beautiful poem, it's extremely difficult dealing with the loss of a loved one, but when it's a child it can be unbearable. I like the fact that you wrote this poem in hopes that it would ease the pain of anyone who has lost a child. I really enjoyed reading this piece.

I cannot imagine the depth of pain over losing a child. (I believe "too" lost its second "o" in the second line.) I admired your rhymed quatrains in a conversational style, along with your repeats for emphasis. Sighs- Joan

The untimely death of a child, however caused, is always heartbreaking. From your notes it appears you wrote this for others who might be suffering rather than in memory of a personal tragedy, so on their behalf, thank you.
