lacking understanding, not giving - add comma
Finally; one day - I would drop that semicolon and use a comma instead
sick and tired, of the way my life - drop the comma
A most thoughtful explanation of your own faith journey and how this verse helped you see the path you should follow :-) Brooke

How true that we need to be diligent in our faith and work diligently to spread the word. In that way we will not be lacking and falling behind when it comes to being a workman for Christ. Very good. Keep up the good work.

I enjoyed reading your biblical story. I agree we should mediate in God's word day and night. Your personal story and journey to faith is interesting. Great contest entry.

pharp, a very good verse to share. We all do need to
know God's Word and store it away in our hearts. I
really enjoyed reading what you had to say about this
being your favorite verse. I'm glad you study His Word
daily.

Most excellent testimony and I pray it will encourage those who read it to search the scriptures for themselves versus just sitting in a pew listening to what a preacher tells them it means.
When I put this into my Word program, it showed that the comma is not necessary for the line beginning with "I now recognize God's word..."
Blessings and best wishes with the contest!

"Sick and tired of being sick and tired." I loved this line! "God's word is not given by man, nor taught but revealed". I agree with you completely. I'm not a religious person, but I believe in God. Your entry is simple and profound. Simple in the way the truth is,and profound because you portrayed your finding in a poignant way. Great job, my friend!
