In a few short words you gave a very powerful and well written reading. I liked the opening lines and the second, maybe less the third. It was very good. Hope you write longer poetry soon

A heart full of hurt,

mended by six feet of dirt, <<< It's rare for a 575 to rhyme so this is a nice touch.... and a SHOCKING line!

unwashed pants and shirt. <<< PERFECT ending!

In just a few lines you told us a LOT about this poor guy. BRAVO!

    Thank you so much for your review. I've never written any poems publicly. I especially never knew what a 575 or Haiku was until I wrote this. Glad you like it.

You nailed the Haiku, 5-7-5 This says quite a lot in 3 lines. Sounds like you are suffering a loss. That's a lot to say in three lines. Good luck!

    Thank you again. Although I should let you know that the 575 haiku was not about a loss but about a gain. Although I was hopin it can be interpreted it many different ways.
