I just loved the parallels you drew in this story, linking it to our frequently ungrateful response to God's many blessings. Very cute. As usual, well written, nice flow, no extraneous words or details, and best of all, no SPAG. Thank you for an entertaining read.

Well, this is a different take on the life of reading! I too, used to have dairy goats. They were Show goats also. My heard was only 60, and I loved every day I had with them. That is until I was given the ultimatum...Goats or Family! Guess what I picked. Great story, and I think any animal lover will get a kick out of it. Sharon

This is a great story. Jumper reminds me of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh (always seeing things from the negative side). What time do you have to get up each morning to milk??

It's been a while. I see your quite busy. Fun differnce in POV. though in goats POV, done only by the goat master herself. LOL. I think you should collect all these stories and send them into a childrens mag or book. Or maybe a christian mag as a series. How cool would that be? I would get the writers quide to magazines and give it a shot. when you find the time. that is.

Once again you've given us a lovely glimpse into your life and farm. I love it. This one tells a story and is creative in it's approach. I always enjoy your work. Take care and God bless.

I m rating this for the concept and prefect grammar. I think the view of us as being chained up for milking may have naegative impact on people are markedly having naggy thoughts of God being cruel especially people who were abused.

Thank you. I did not mean to imply any view of people chained up and apologise if it came across that way. When I spoke of God looking down on us, I was refering to the situations we get ourselves in, nothing related to the goats, except for our attitudes. I do appreciate your review.

I really enjoyed your story. It is neat to see how you talk about all the goats by name, and I like reading about them.
This was my favorite part:
We deserve more, but she never gives us enough.
Sounds like some teenagers I know.

This is a great farm story, enjoyable with the "talking" goats. Not far from those people who see the glass half full/half empty. The dialogue is very good. One suggestion: "I often wonder if God...looks down at us and say" -- I believe "say" should be "says". (Just the old secretary in me.) LadyMary

Farm stories are always enjoyable when told by an owner who loves all the
people - uh, goats etc.- living on the farm. When different characters are introduced, each with his or her idiosyncracy and humorous traits, they always make us smile. Yup, there're naughty ones but aren't they fun? The wonder is how they all live together happily without quarrelling, thus doing better in life than humans do. The God Mother or Father who rule over them must be really kind and wise. Love the story.
