This haiku, Plain Front Porch, has the proper formatting and creates the spectacular scene of the common area made brilliant by the mystical and fluttering fireflies.

I haven't ever seen real fireflies. I guess it depends on where you live. But I like the fact that Nature decorates much more fabulously than anything that we can buy.

Often times back in Trinidad, I would sit with my girlfriend her porch. It was a plain porch, but on very dark nights the fireflies made the porch come alive. We called them candleflies back then. Your poem is very relatable, and also reminds me how sometimes in life, seemingly plain things can attract the beauty in others.

cool - like the juxtaposition between plain and fancy as fireflies light up the porch...
