In his speech i laughed when he said for the good of democracy he was dropping out.. they had to practically KICK HIM OUT.
It was obvious he was not fit to be in office already months before the debate with Trump , yet until then his Party and voters were all for him.

You've packed a lot of emotion into just a few lines. I thought this was so creative and fun. Great work on capturing that feeling of late night regret. At least that is how I read it.
