Ack! A hundred pound puppy? Or at least, he acts like a puppy, eating remote controllers etc. But that solution sounds a bit too dangerous for everyone. I wonder if there is a harness where you can lift him up with the legs down and you can clip the nails? Nah, probably too dangerous, too!

Thank you for the review. We are going to take him to the vet to get his nails done.

Too funny. Our Daisy May hates getting hers done as well. We pay well for two people (and hubby) to hold her, we buy a toy, we praise her...but alas nothing works. I have not tried the peanut butter trick. God bless the man with the saran wrap. My hubby couldn't do it. Esther

Thank you for your very nice review. It is such a challenge to do his nails.

Excellent short story. I saw the same youtube video and have never given it a try. Our dog Toby acts as if we are killing him when we try to clip his nails. I had to reread your one line, I thought you said he pulled off your husbands head and ate it!!! yikes...Luckily it was the wrap and all things came out in the end.LOL

Brenda.
Honestly, this is one of the funniest stories I've read in some time here.
We have three dogs of which only one requires its nails trimmed. I pictured myself with the peanut butter headband ... yikes., quite the site.
Let us know how you make out trimming those nails.
And by the way, I'm glad the pup pooped the saran... phew!

Love this tale, we will try anything to cut our pet's nails. I gave up with my guinea pigs, I take them to the vet's so she can do it and the same with my cats(I won't even attempt to cut my cat's nails). This is a funny dog story that pet owners can appreciate.

Thank you for your very nice review. I know my husband looks pretty ridiculous.
Comment from Wayne Fowler
I promise this is the honest truth. I read that Zeke tore off your husband's head and ate it. I thought, "how bizarre". This seemingly innocent pet story has tricked me, turning out to be a horror show. I really thought you wrote a Halloween thriller.
Next time try a sleeping pill.
Best wishes.

Sorry, if it seemed as though my husband lost his head. Thank you for your review. We are going to try the sedatives.

It was all on me. Fast reading often loses the race, having to go back and try to figure out confusions.

This story about struggling to cut a dog's toenails is so funny and fun. I know your husband must have felt ridiculous. I wish you better luck next time! Thanks for sharing.

This is a delightful story and I very much enjoyed listening to it. Your wording and your presentation are lovely. I wish you a very good day and I do hope that one day will be able to let you cut his nails without having to put peanut butter on your husband's head.

Brenda,
A wonderful story. Ruby and I tussle every time it comes to me clipping her nails! If tried so many times, but it takes us over an hour to get them all clipped. Then she hides under my bed for hours afterward.
I now take her to Petco to a wonderful groomer. It costs only around $12. She also gets her back gland expressed for extra.
My groomer has a way with animals, and the right equipment to do so.
Please let me know if this helps.
Great story, and I am so glad Zane survived the Saran Wrap ordeal!
Best wishes, Brenda.
Hugs from Ruby and me,
Cindy

Thank you so much for your great review.

That is hysterical. Buy a muzzle. Play with him outside, then feed him, so he will be all comfy. Put the muzzle on, and hubby restrains the dog while you clip. Or, go to the groomers. pay for it and watch how they do it. Go to the vets and get medication to knock him out for his monthly trim. While at the vets make sure he does not have a condition that makes it hurt him. Karen

Thank you Karen for your very nice review. We did take him to the groomers but he bites them. I think we will get medication to knock him out and get his nails done that way. Thank you for the suggestions.
